因為戰爭的分離，思念故鄉的返鄉之旅

 

戦争で引き起った離れ、故郷が恋しい帰省の旅

People were separated by the cruel war, and they set off for their longing homeland.

有一種旅行，是因為思念故鄉。

 

　　在過去因為台灣與大陸的內戰，迫使他們與家人分離，所以30多年完全沒有辦法見面。後來兩岸開放探親，當初這些被迫離鄉的人們30多年前離開時是年少的，再回故鄉的時候已是白髮蒼蒼，開始了這趟返鄉之旅。每個人都歸心似箭，身體與心理都需要經歷一場顛簸又遙遠的旅行。

 

　　從一開始的緊張期待，想要把最好的東西都帶回故鄉（除了美金，還有新的家電用品、電鍋、電視，不管多重，想盡辦法都要搬回去）。

ある旅行は、故郷が恋しているので…

 

 

昔、台湾と中国の内戦のため、沢山の人が家族と別れさせられて、30年の間に、一度会うこともできませんでした。

その後、両岸の親族訪問の活動が行われました。当初、別れさせられた人たちはまだ若者なのに、故郷に帰るときにはもう、白髪だらけになっていました。皆は帰心矢の如しの気持ちが溢れて、この体と心理にとっても大変な旅を迎えました。

 

彼らも最もいいものを故郷に持って帰りたいのです。（ドルだけではなく、新しい家電製品、炊飯器、テレビなど、どんなに重くても、必ず持って帰るのです）

Some travel because of missing their homeland.

 

In the past, because of the civil war between Taiwan and Mainland China, people were separated from their families and unable to reunite for over 30 years. Later, the two sides gradually allowed people to visit their relatives. These people who were forced to leave their hometown had all grown into middle-aged or elderly. Even though this trip to homeland would be a physical and mental challenge, they couldn’t wait anymore to start.

 

They were so nervous and excited, trying to bring everything back to their hometown (besides US dollars, there were also new household appliances, electric cookers, TVs, etc. No matter how heavy, they did whatever they could to bring these things to their family.)

旅行開始，從機場這一刻，首先需要搭機再轉機，這些老人家在沒有人的協助下，語言與口音溝通不良，在廣大的機場繞來繞去，好像迷了路，心情非常緊張慌亂。

 

旅は空港から始まりました。彼たちは飛行機を乗ってから、乗り換えをするのです。誰もが助けてくれないし、言語やアクセントの違いでコミュニケーションもなかなか通じないし、道も迷っている状況で、広大な空港で行ったり来たりして、慌てています。

 

The trip started from the airport. They first needed to take a flight and then transfer. Having a different accent gave these elderly people a hard time when they had to communicate with airport staff without any assistance. They walked back and forth in the vast airport, feeling lost and nervous.

 

 

老人家在沒有人的協助下，在廣大的機場繞來繞去，好像迷了路，心情非常緊張慌亂

 

お年寄りの方たちは誰もが助けてくれないうちに、広大な空港で行ったり来たりして、道も分からなくて、慌てています。

 

These elderly people without any assistance that they walked back and forth in the vast airport, feeling lost and nervous.

 

 

老人家在沒有人的協助下，語言與口音溝通不良

 

お年寄りの方たちは誰もが助けてくれないうちに、言語やアクセントも通じないです。

 

Without others’ help, they couldn’t communicate smoothly because of their accent.

 

 

 

經過一番折騰，最後終於找到登機門，在搭上飛機的那一刻，才鬆了一口氣。下飛機之後，接著又是漫長顛簸的挑戰。坐車少則6~8小時，多則1~2天。

 

いろんな難関を乗り越えて、搭乗ゲートにたどり着いた。飛行機を乗る前にホッとした。飛行機を降りてから、まだまだたくさんの挑戦が待っています。車で故郷へ帰って、少なくでも6－8時間かかって、多いなら1－2日もかかるそうです。

 

After some tossing, they finally found the boarding gate and were relieved when they boarded the plane. After getting off the plane, along bumpy journey followed. It took 6 to 8 hours, or as long as 1 to 2 days to get back home by car.

 

 

 

終於到了日思夜念的故鄉，這時心情已經非常激動。一下了車，看到分別30多年親人，有的雙親或家人已經離去，抱著看到的家人痛哭流涕；有的五體投地親吻土地，這一刻終於完成了心中30多年來的願望。

 

長年待ち望んでいた故郷にようやくたどり着き、この時の気持ちは感激極まりないです。 車を降りると、そこには30年以上離れ離れになっていた親族がいました。 ある親戚はもうすでに去っていましたが、彼らは涙を流しながら目の前の家族を抱きしめます。 愛情を込めて土地にキスをする人さえいました。 この時、30年間心の中に置いた願いが叶いました。

 

Finally arriving at the hometown they’d been longing for years, they were very excited. When they got out of the car, they saw the relatives that had been separated for more than 30 years. Some of their parents or family members had already left. They hold their family with tears. Some people even kissed the land affectionately. At this moment, they finally fulfilled the wish that they had kept thinking about for 30 years.

 

 

 

在當時的背景條件，返鄉探親都只能是短暫的旅行。才匆匆停留幾天又要返回台灣，要離開故鄉，心情上更加依依不捨，再加上再次轉機的折騰。

 

当時の状況（国や生活）により、親族訪問はわずか数日の短い旅行とされています。長い時間もとどめなくて、すぐ台湾に帰るのです。

また故郷を離れ、その気持ちは言えないほど苦しいである。

 

Due to the condition at that time, the visit could only be a short trip. They had to leave their hometown and return to Taiwan after just a few days. 

 

 

 

回到台灣後，其實已經是心力交瘁，但也完成了心中的遺憾與願望。

 

台湾に戻ったら、心身ともに疲れたが、心の願望はすでに叶いました。

 

After returning to Taiwan, the elderly were all exhausted, but they eventually fulfilled their dream.
