The arts were brought from everywhere in this world within more than 20 years. Find stories while was travel is the most things memorable. There are many situations during travel that sometimes have small troubles, one of the challenges often is transportation.
Hence, all things are treasures for the Little House even if they are not perfect.
It still cannot get over it for those destroyers.
Adult part
From Africa
8 log giraffes are large and small which were brought back and taken care of it the whole way even if they were overweight.
In a travel session, it originally was wanted to create a grassland animal’s atmosphere but a staff who was irrational and impatient overthrew a woody giraffe. the foot and tail of this woody giraffe were broken immediately, however, the staff said she was not mean to do it and pretended nothing happened.
I rode my scooter and carefully took the giraffe back home on that day. after that a carpenter who claimed he was a professional repaired the giraffe but was not complete.
In India
When we were looked for a tree, which was Buddha obtained his enlightenment. We brought back 2 hands-drawing crafts of elephants at this ancient city. The elephants were shipped by oceans that spent 6 months long.
They were from India to Singapore then to Keelung Port. Waited for customs clearance and inspection before arrived in Taipei, Taiwan which took another more than a year.
While opened the package, the inside was mess up and lacked 2 woody ivories which were may be taken by the inspector.
Thankfully, the handmade teacher who made the Acorn and Conch helped us to make complete the new ivories.
In the mountains of Japan
We found an old artificer and did handmade 50 sets of bowls and plates for a year.
In the beginning, we did not know which ways of transportation were safety for those goods. Therefore, we decided to separate 2 parts and each part was almost 300 kilograms by the airplane check-in luggage. At the last, all goods were perfect at arrival.
The other part was using the high-quality package shipment to Taiwan by the Post Office in Japan.
The package was opened which 70% of goods were broken and the rest of the goods were perfect.
Asking the customer service just got the answer that they would investigate but there was never any reply after.
In Taichung ( one of the cities in Taiwan)
We had been planted a pink Frangipani for more than 10 years, however, we encountered bad neighbors, who cut the bark and put salt on it. The tree was transplanted to the Little House and bloomed again.
Recently, we found out these neighbors were good at playing innocent.
Child Part
In America
The three toys of the dinosaur eggs were brought back from the fossil of origin which can build them into three special small dinosaurs.
Children who don't know how to cherish, let the dinosaurs become as:
A dinosaur is gone and another dinosaur is missing a hand.
The other is good in the Little House.
From Italy
A little girl played with the clay little angel which was brought back and was fell down the ground again.
A pair of wings and one foot were broken.
The heart of the clay little angel is hurt as like as me, after all still faced on in with a smile.
No worries when she grows up will become the most beautiful love god, Venus.
In southern fisheries (Taiwan)
A part of the 60-year-old ship wheel was built a nest by ants.
Two handles of the ship wheel can be moved incredibly. Finally, there came a child and pull the handle out.
From Australia
A stone with hand-draw dolphins was brought back and was broken 2 parts by accident.
From Japan
Bell pendulum was made by a famous handcraft, however, it was broken by a child and made a faint sound.
At the last, we pull back a little and the curve line recovered and made a loud sound again.
The ending may be happy or sad; nonetheless, if there will have any chance to repair it we find out the way. Those things keep in the Little House in this way.
Although they are inanimate, but all collections have a belonging story behind them. Hope can be more carefully cherish every collection.
