Handicraft
Because of Bear Best Carpenter's helping...
1. The number 11 of the Little House address plate has been put on after 9 years at last.
2. The brand new rudder has been hung on the gate.
3. Besides, they also brought the axe which was commissioned last time. Now it's a brand new axe too.
This original was rusty which came from Hokkaido.
Many years ago we went to a lakefront where we saw a cabin without any tourists and the weather was very cold.
An old man with a runny nose was carving work slowly. He said he is great at carving owls. But the owl's eyes scared us.
We still wanted to buy some of his works so we started to look around that place. Finally, we found the bear on the corner, which covered full of dust and cobwebs.
He said, "this was the only bear which he ever been carved." We decided to buy it and an uncompleted owl.
The reason was this owl was not so terrifying. Ha Ha!
The old man very happy, therefore, he gave us an axe which he was usually used before. t was whole rusty, however, it can be felt what important meaning to him. He chopped many white birches with this axe in the forest and used these to make many handicrafts.
Birds
Birds are never seen before came one after another when building the Little House. They started to build nests everywhere, but actually, not each kind of bird is smart.
At first, some turtle doves built nests on the top of the roof without any cover. Nests were flooding when the heavy raining days and they with wetting body stood outside of nests as silly waited for the rain stopped.
Soon after that, some birds built the nest in large illuminator lamps and sensor lights of support brackets. Those birds were shocked when the lights were turned on every time.
Eventually, these nests became empty without any birds the reason was to be shocked, or it just migratory birds did not come back yet.
Recent birds become smart that they built nests on the Frangipani tree.
There are bloomy Yellow Bells in the near, which there are nectar and insects can feed those birds.
Taiwan's Ingredients
1、These baby taros came from the island of Lieyu. The long-awaited deliciousness had also arrived by airplane.
Last time we bought tacos from a husband of a granny who sells a Kinmen style dumpling. Their family is so happiness that their son helps the work in the taro field after getting off work and their grandson helps granny deliver dumplings even though busy.
In addition to being delicious, there is full of love from this family.
The mouth feeling of taro is different from the main island in Taiwan. Baby taros were steamed and eaten directly which have a natural fragrance and salty taste.
we also made two kinds of dessert by big taro and that was really tasty.
The children who do not like to eat taro said it was yummy.
2、The vegetable and fruit from the Bunun tribe on the mountain were been came too.
They are not so cruel as our imagination whose living relies on traditional hunting.
That is a tradition from several centuries of the tribes.
The job also is proud of by hunters. They love the forest and respect nature. How much they eat how much they take never be wasted.
Because of nowadays ecology and 921 Earthquake, they lost the job once and let their life hit a bad patch.
Fortunately, they start to plant high-quality vegetables and fruits in the greenhouse through nuns and government assistance. Red and yellow peppers which are picked on a spot on season taste as sweet as fruits.
